I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling validated by the University of Gloucestershire and a post-qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents.

I have a Certificate of Proficiency with the BACP and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP (Reg)) and CCYP  (Counselling Children and Young People).  I am also an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (MNCS (Accred)).

I am also a member of CAPPP (Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Private Practice).

I regularly attend CPD courses,  receive monthly supervision for both my voluntary and private client work and I am fully insured for private practice.

I have experience of working with a wide range of clients (children,  adolescents and adults) experiencing mental health distress such as depression, anxiety and low self esteem often linked to bereavement, loss, stress and burnout.  I have worked with self harm, suicidal ideation and a range of other coping strategies stress to deal with intense emotional pain.  Clients have processed in counselling with me the impact of trauma and abuse (emotional, psychological, physical, sexual and various forms of neglect).  I have worked with friendship, couple and family relationship difficulties, marital breakdown as well as spiritual issues. This is not an exhaustive list.

I have been counselling adults and young people in private practice since 2015 and started volunteer counselling with adults in a large Bristol counselling agency since January 2013. I  have been the school counsellor at a Bristol post 16 centre since June 2015 and since September 2017 have been working with Focus Counselling as part of a counselling team in two private schools in Bath with children and young people aged 5-18©

I have 3 years experience of delivering person centred training courses at Introductory level as well as facilitating skills workshops for Certificate Level counselling students.

I am working towards a supervision qualification and have spaces available for individuals or a group.
